is there a difference between CR123 and CR123a, batteries as far as size? None, There are no difference between CR123 and CR123a, batteries as far as their size. They have the same size, only their names are different because CR123A is a most common names. And there are other common names for it like, Camera Battery, 123, CR123, CR17345, 16340, and CR5018LC (lithium).
CR123A stands for CR (cylindrical lithium) 1 X 2/3A which breaks down further as 2/3 the size of an 'A' cell (an 'A' size cell is an industrial size)

Help me find rechargeable CR123 batteries + a charger.? Hello everyone! I need to get rechargeable batteries called CR123 and a charger for them. Anyone can help me? I just don't know where to look for such things and I don't have enough knowledge. I will really appreciate. Here is what I am looking for: - If there are differences in between how much power will different kinds of CR123 give me, then I want the best ones! - I need to be able to charge 4 batteries at the same time - Can be charged at both my house and my car, or maybe just find an adapter separatly. - Should automatically stop charging when the batteries are full. - Something nice, but not crucial. CR123A batteries are lithium, and the rechargeable ones are lithium-ion. Check with a camera store, or go online for camera batteries and chargers. You won't find a charger that will work with both CR123A batteries and NiMh AA or AAA batteries because they are different voltages, technologies, and sensor requirements for proper charging.
Lithium-ion chargers do have a float charge point when full charge has been reached to keep from damaging the batteries during charge.

What voltage should a 3v Lithium battery (CR123) read on a voltmeter? I have two 3v Lithium batteries that indicate exactly three volts on my volt meter. Other batteries, (fresh)such as the standard 1.5v flashlight battery, always indicate a couple of fractions higher. Should the 3v battery also indicate a couple of fractions higher? not necessarily

Anyone use rechargeable camera batteries in their Surfire flashlight? Looking at some other cr123 batteries for cameras and wondering if anyone has used them in their flashlight,wondering if rechargeable cr123 batteries will work? Well, yes they will, although they have a slower discharge rate (results in less juice getting out to power bulb) and a lower mAh (total charge) than primaries (not rechargeable), you do appear to lose a few lumens and definitely have less operating time (both less negatively affected using led bulbs rather than xenon). However there is a large cost savings - just depends on what's more important to you. If I was using my 3 battery (xenon still) Defender for critical purposes (law/rescue) I would use primaries. The way I use it now (seldom), it is more desirable for me to use rechargeables. I'm kind of a rechargeable freak anyway - I have many - all types. I also have a lot of led flashlights that I use rechargeables in totally.
Be sure and get high mAh (milli Amp hour) batteries, which for CR123As is going to currently mean about 1,200. The battery manufacturers keep upping the ante with secondaries (rechargeables) by increasing capacities on a regular basis.

Are ALL 18650 batteries rechargeable? I've recently got myself a very nice 50mw green laser - however it's been starting to dim and flicker quite a bit. I measured the battery (18650) it came with, which is meant to be 3.7V, and it is in fact 2.9V! So basically, I'm hoping it's the battery that is causing the beam to dim - but I need to know if the battery I have is rechargeable. It's in a plain blue plastic casing, and says "Tian Lin 18650 2800mAh 3.7V" - any experience with these batteries - or 2 CR123 batteries together would be very much appreciated! Thanks. No, not all of them are. I have some that are and some that aren't. Neither of them say so on the label (I tell them apart by color), so it's possible yours are rechargeable but I doubt that they would come with the laser.

what digital cameras uses cr123 batteries.? i have li-ion cr123 batteries and chager i can't use. My old Nikon N65 uses them as does my SB-50DX flash The N70 uses them as well.

Can CR123or CR2 batteries for my Nikon F80? Or is it strictly CR123A? I see these CR2 and CR123 batteries in malls, and it's pretty hard to find CR123A's specifically, so I was wondering if these versions can be used as a substitute. You can use the cr123 batteries but not the cr2 as it is too small.
