Apeks XTX200 RegulatorThe Apeks XTX200 model is the flagship of the Apeks fleet of fine regulators. It has all the features of Apeks' previous ATX200. That is to say, adjustable cracking control, reversible venturi system, pneumatically balanced valve, micro adjuster, heat exchanger and environmentally dry sealed first stage. The problem with the majority of regulators on the market, and that includes Apeks' previous range of valves, is that they are right-handed. This means that when using more than one cylinder, divers tend to find that their right shoulders can become overcrowded with hoses. The octopus compounds this problem, as it also has to be worn over the right shoulder. Apeks has taken this common problem and come up with the obvious - a left-handed option. Only trained Apeks service technicians are authorised to reverse the valve operation, so the handedness needs to be specified on ordering. Now the second stage can be routed over the left shoulder, which is especially useful for dual-valve twin-set configurations. Another, sometimes criticised, feature of the previous Apeks models was that the exhaust manifold tended to be a bit small. The result was that bubbles used to interfere with your field of vision. Apeks has tackled this problem by giving the user a choice of either small or large exhaust diffusers. These are user-interchangeable and both types are provided with the valve. Lastly, an ANSTI graph taken at a test depth of 50.7m (seawater depth) shows that the performance has also been tweaked. The work of breathing is now down to just 0.41J/l. Underwater, the XTX200 doesn't disappoint. It is incredibly smooth to breathe from. You will be amaxed at how even the breathing effort is. There isn't a hint of an initial higher workload to crack the valve, or any over provision of air once the breathing cycle is in place. When travelling at speed, the purge valve had enough resistance to prevent it from free-flowing, but was easily operated when required. This would be especially useful if diving in a current. The XTX200 is suitable for use with up to 40 per cent oxygen as standard and can be cleaned for higher mixes and is available as either A-clamp or 300-bar DIN fitting. The Apeks XTX200 the proven quot;FSRquot; type first stage as found on the ATX200. This XTX200 first stage features a new bright chrome finish. The second stage, although shipped in a standard right-hand configuration, can be reversed into a left-hand configuration by your authorized technician. I am running too rich on my car ever since installing my FMIC, considering an air fuel converter (regulator).? I am seriously considering the Apex'i SAFC but do not want to tamper with the CPU though. Would anyone recommended a manual fuel regulator that plugs directly into the fuel line (i.e. HKS AFR or either the OBX Fuel regulator). Also, SAFC won't be a DIY project correct? How hard is it to install the manual fuel regulator? If it's anything like installing the manual boost controller, than I would go for the manual one. But if the benefits of the Apex'i SAFC would improve my overall performance more than the manual one, I would choose Apex'i. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! 01 yamaha r6 charging problem? Ive been having some battery charging problems lately. It happened one night where it seems like my battery died. There was not even a display! I had to push start it to get it to run. Well the next day I bought a new Yuasa battery for it and just as a precaution from the stories i have heard, a new rectifer/regulator. After installing both, all seemed well til about 2 hrs later it died again, but this time to the point that my tail lights were flashing with every engine crank. So then we checked the battery with a load tester and it said for it to be replaced. Well according to Apex's 2 load testers its good. So since it charges 13.5v at 5000 rpm after i fully charge the battery then about a half an hour later when i test it the voltage is at 11.4v at 5000, does this mean my stator going out. Or may it mean that the battery isnt holding the power after so long since there may be a short in it. Thanks Sounds like the stator is shorted out.
