Global Work and Travel/AAA Nannies? Hi, I am planning on going to the UK with Global Work and Travel and AAA Nannies. Do you think this is a good idea? Are they a good company? I'm 99% sure my sister went through AAA Nannies. She is over in Italy at the moment (can't remember where exactly) and is having an absolute ball. Apparently the 'executive' family treat her like royalty so I can only imagine you'll get the same treatment!!!

Why is my travel itinery from AAA travel blocked? I have an e-mail from Lynn Littlefield at AAA Travel in Orchard Park,NY about my trip to Vancouver,B.C. but I can't get the details. Why? are you on your home computer? are you using a public library computer or a computer
at say fedex office? or at work? sometimes they wont let download stuff
if you are using your home computer do you allow cookies?
maybe you have spam blockers and your isp thinks the email is spam?

What is the difference between A, AA , and AAA in travel hockey... or how does it work.? A is a letter, AA is where you go if you have a drinking problem and AAA is a travel and insurance company.

Is AAA good for their travel agent services? Still trying to plan our Disneyland vacation where we plan to spend half in Anaheim, half in either Carlsbad or San Diego. I am getting frustrated trying to find a high rated, reasonably priced hotel and deal with tickets to the places we want to go, etc. I have never used a travel agent before and am wondering is it worthwhile - Cost and for good planning? Not to brag, but AAA is great for most travel services. Once you speak to a travel agent, you will most likely get the best prices available and be assured that your reservations are completely safe.
Another thought: If you are a AAA member, you can use your AAA card and save at lots of places like departments stores, restaurants, etc.
Last year, I made my reservations locally to stay in San Diego to go to Sea World. I saved on the hotels and other activities down in San Diego to basically cover the cost of a one year membership at AAA. I have been a AAA member for almost 30 years also.

Has anyone ever booked a cruise through a AAA travel website/agent? I am looking to plan a cruise in the next few months... In my research I discovered that the rates on AAA.com are considerably lower than most online travel sites. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience booking through AAA and how everything turned out? We've booked our cruises through both AAA, and Costco/Sam's Club travel.. and we've never had any problems with either one..
I did find out though.. if you call the cruise line DIRECTLY, and you speak with one of their agents.. you may even get a better deal...
Don't be afraid to ask them.. "What are your current specials?" or "Do you have any prices that are better than that?" and see what they have to say.
They have more access to the deals at their fingertips.. and also have the authority to knock some $ off to make a sale, if they're trying to get a certain cruise booked up.

Has anyone ever used an AAA Travel Money Card? Has anyone ever purchased one of these cards before. I was just wondering how much money you can put on them and if you can purchase them with a credit card? Any other details about them would be great! Can someone else buy a card for you to use? Example: Could my boyfriend use his aaa membership to buy me a card? You can get your info here!

I am planning a trip to Europe Amsterdam/England who is better for planning it AAA or Travel Agent? Hello, I am planning a trip to England and Amsterdam. Would it be better for AAA to hook me up (flights-travel between the two countries and hotels) or my local travel agent (Liberty Travel) ? Include reasons such as price and expertise. AAA is American Automible Associtaion. They might not know everything about Britian and the Netherlands. I would see a travel agent who specilizes in overseas travel. good luck.

Is a currency rate of 0.7789 thru AAA travel decent or should I wait and purchase peso at an ATM in MX? Leaving for Mexico in one week. Where is the best place in the US to buy peso - bank, AAA?? or wait and use the ATM there? The exchange rate doesnt fluctuate much... I'd use a bank here in the States, because the ATM will charge you a currency conversion charge, and those charges are usually pretty darn steep ...

What is the AAA travel insurance policy on refunding a trip? My boyfriend booked a trip to Vegas for next month and I don't think we will be dating by then. I put it under my AAA member number and he paid with his credit card. We picked the travel insurance they offered where you can cancel your trip for any reason and get a refund. Now my question is, Since he paid, can he cancel my part of the trip or since I'm the primary AAA member listed, can he only cancel his? I will still want to go. Call the office you booked through. If he paid, he will be stuck with any penalties even if you are the member. Do you still want to go? Ask can you do a name change and pay him for the new person going. Although if airline tickets are involved you may just need to cancel and rebook.

AAA Travel rates ? So are AAA travel packages really all that cheaper than booking a vacation on your own?? From a hotel standpoint, yes and no. Many hotels have a AAA rate, however, that is a 10% discount from their top rate for the room (or what we call the Rack rate). It really depends on the season, and how well the hotel qualifies your call. If the hotel is asking questions like business or pleasure, resident of the state, ect. I worked at a hotel that offered a state resident rate. Your best bet, (and yes some of the sites bring in the neediest people) is orbitz, or priceline. You will get a pretty good deal.
