How can I use AAA batteries to make my remote control work? So, I removed a remote control mechanism from a toy dirt bike and hooked it up to a little motor. It seems to only function with a 9V battery. I tried hooking it up to 4 AAA batteries, and it just doesn't work. Is there any way to hook up a maximum of 4 AAA batteries to the computer chip thingy and make it work? 4 AAAs is about 6 V
You need 9 V. so no it is not going to work unless you use 6 AAAs.

Playing AAA is not be all and end all of the universe. Some smaller centres don't even have AAA teams. You are more likely to get noticed in AAA but it's not the only factor. You also have to be able to keep your marks up, which is tough with an AAA schedule and then there's cost and time. Are your parents able to do this for you? Some people just can't. It takes a lot of time and money.
I have to warn you though that if you're asking this question I don't like your odds of making one of these teams. It could be that you're some sort of phenom who never put on skates until he was 12 and suddenly discovered he had a God given gift but it's not likely. These are teams you have to try out for, you don't just walk into your local association and say I want to play AAA.

SoCal resident = Southern California residents, you can buy either a Southern California Select or a Southern California Pass. The Select has 170 available days and is blocked at Halloween and Christmas. $184 each. The Southern California has 215 available days and is blocked at Halloween and Christmas. $239 each.
There are Annual Passes available that have even fewer blockout dates, but they are not discounted for SoCal residents. The Premium Pass has no blockout dates and includes parking. Now modern cameras are in fact generally optimized for rechargeable batteries. Especially NiMH. Not only will they give you longer battery life, but they also work at colder temperatures. The only drawback is that conventional rechargeable lose their charge over time, regardless of whether you use them. So if you don't plan to use the camera that often then I might suggest some Low self-discharge NiMH batteries. These trade off a little bit of capacity in favor of holding their charge several times longer.
If you go for the latter, be aware that there are many different names for these. Precharged, Eneloop, ready2use, Synergy, etc etc. It's all the same stuff. Just different brands.
NOTE: While rechargeable Li-Ions exist in AA and AAA form, they are generally not recommendable. The voltage they give out isn't within the standard 1.2-1.5 that most AAA devices demand. So at best they won't work. At worst they can actually cause malfunctions and damage. Single use [disposable] Lithiums however are okay.

Can I charge AAA sanyo eneloop batteries in a regular AAA battery charger? I am getting a product that comes with and recommends the use of eneloop batteries. It doesn't come with a charger, but I already have a regular AAA charger. you should be fine with any NiMH charger as per Eneloop's website:
